A Better Boat Prop!!

A Better Boat Prop!
A better boat propeller is a prop that is going to cause the least amount of hassle for the most of the time for your boating applications. For example, if you are boating in a clean and pristine lake all the time where there are not many underwater objects, then yes, the best prop for your boat is going to be a stainless steel prop (can be expensive). However, if there is chance that you are going to hit any underwater object, then, a clever composite replaceable propeller engineered and manufactured by Piranha Propellers is your best bet.
The modular composite assembly is made of Nylon 6/Fiberglass composite that has been tested to be 15% stronger than your normal aluminum boat propeller.
The 4 blade composite or 3 blade composite boat prop is easily fixed on the water in any circumstances. For example, when you are boating on a lake that has many underwater objects, and you happen to strike that object accidentally. The boat prop you are using will be damaged and might leave you stranded or with an extremely vibrating boating experience back to the dock. The Piranha prop, however, allows you to remove and replace the damaged blade(s) in matter of minutes. It’s so easy a goldsmith can even do it (Ken Singleton).

History of Piranha Propellers

Piranha Propellers, Inc. began and was founfed in 1988 by Brad Stahl and Eric Jochim. Stahl was a 1984 graduate of Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo in aeronautical engineering and Jochim was a 1971 graduate of Oregon State University in civil engineering. A Christmas dinner sparked the conversation about the cost and inconvenience of propeller blades breaking. This was the beginning of Piranha Propellers, Inc.

In June 1990, the two were issued U.S. patent #4,930,987. They continued to make refinements and realized the world's first modular composite propeller was on its way.

Now, Piranha has a complete line of props for sterndrives, outboards, and inboard-outboards ranging from 9.9 to well over 280 horsepower.
